Keith Kurtz, Project Portfolio Coordinator for the City of Santa Monica, California, is a project manager in the Information Services Department. Previously, Mr. Kurtz managed the city's bulletin board system and the design and maintenance of early city websites. Mr. Kurtz is an Associate Professor at Santa Monica College where he teaches Computer Science and Technology Project Management.
Mr. Kurtz holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Southern California where he attended as a Hughes Aircraft MBA Fellow. He holds Project Manager Professional and ITIL Foundation Level certifications and is an Honored Member of Strathmore's Who's Who Registry of Business Leaders.
As a computer engineer in the aerospace industry, Mr. Kurtz developed Computer Aided Design methodologies for space systems, managed the design and manufacture of space borne electronic payloads and has managed domestic and overseas contracts. He was Controller and Director of Administrative Services for a Vocational Rehabilitation firm in Los Angeles. Mr. Kurtz is a National Referee and Advanced Referee Instructor for the American Youth Soccer Organization and a former Chairman of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Advisory Committee for Instructional Technology.
