Keith Kurtz

Keith Kurtz is an Associate Professor at Santa Monica College where he has taught Computer Science since 1997.  He was a member of the Information Systems Department at the City of Santa Monica from 1992 until 2020 where he served as the City Webmaster and as a Project Manager.  Prior to launching the City website, he managed the Public Electronic Network, and online bulletin board system operated by the city. 

Mr. Kurtz holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Southern California where he attended as a Hughes Aircraft MBA Fellow. He is an Honored Member of Strathmore's Who's Who Registry of Business Leaders.

As a computer engineer in the aerospace industry, Mr. Kurtz developed Computer Aided Design methodologies for space systems, managed the design and manufacture of space borne electronic payloads and has managed domestic and overseas contracts. He was Controller and Director of Administrative Services for a Vocational Rehabilitation firm in Los Angeles. Mr. Kurtz is a referee instructor for the American Youth Soccer Organization and a former Chairman of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Advisory Committee for Instructional Technology.
